Our park is close to several local area attractions such as: View a map of River View Campground Large, beautiful, wooded, grassy campsites available ranging from rustic to full hook-ups. River View Campground has specifically designed its campground to accommodate family as well as group camping needs. Since our campsites range in size, when you make a reservation with River View, we’ll give you the amount of space needed for your RV, tents and people. River View Campground is open from May 1st, to October 15th. New Camping Cabins are now available for those of you who would prefer not to “rough-it”.

Failure to do so will result in a no-show with loss of all fees. Campers are not permitted to camp for more than 15 consecutive nights in any individual campground. Combined multiple reservations that exceed 15 nights could result in a mandatory reduction of the combined stay so that the 15 night limit is not exceeded.

Early in its history Houghton was a major shipping port serving the copper mining industry that thrived in the area for about years. You will pull in on your concrete pad and step out of your door and extend your awning over your very own concrete patio. For today’s RVs, these sites are the minimum size and most consider them small. If you have lots of slide outs and awnings or a tow vehicle, these may be too small. Only you will know how much room you need to comfortably set up, so be sure to check the site size, before requesting this unit type. These sites have very little landscaping separating you and your neighbor.

However, for campers on a budget, they may be just what you are looking for. Our small full hookup RV sites are within a short walking distance from a spectacular view of the Mackinac Bridge.

We were on site , which is against the park fence. The sites on this side were long and very narrow, so you are right up against your neighbor.
